Roll20 helps RollVsEvil, an RPG and tabletop charity that tackles real-world evil.

Roll20Con 2022, the virtual tabletop’s annual convention, had a fundraising t-shirt campaign for Roll Vs Evil. I bought one and was sent two! So, with permission, Geek Native is running a competition to give away a medium-sized version of this t-shirt.

RollVsEvil’s inaugural campaign has been in support of people affected by the invasion of Ukraine, with the first of many RollVsEvil gaming events taking place this weekend, and Supernova Capital & Partners will match up to £100,000 / $130,000 in money.

To date, the charity’s JustGiving page says £25,00 has been raised by nearly 200 supporters, which includes companies like Roll20.

James Introcaso and Daniel D. Fox’s Zweihander Fantasy Horror RPG: Starter Kit is due out next week.

The box contains what you need to get going in the tabletop RPG, the cooperative RPG and horror set in a dark medieval fantasy world. Published by Andrews McMeel, the sorrowful game explores the grey of morality. It does away with simple views of good and evil.

Fainting Goat Games have a best-selling Savage Worlds setting called The After.

The post-apocalyptic world, one in which the invading aliens have moved on, is still growing. On Kickstarter right now, from Jade Monkey Studios, there’s a campaign for Tales from the Trail Vol 2. That’s a new volume of adventures.

The postal situation in the UK isn’t clear as there are various pay deals, strikes and ongoing logistical challenges the country needs to work through. The competition wraps at the start of December, so I can get prizes in the post to you and perhaps in time for gift giving.

It’s not swift to collect winners’ details, and I won’t wait until I have all five and will ferry these pendants to the local post office as and when I have the addresses.

The usual delay probably comes from spam filters eating the “You have won, so please give me your mail address” email. Ralph Macchio’s Waxing On: The Karate Kid and Me is out.

Actually, Waxing On: The Karate Kid and Me is Amazon’s top seller in the martial arts biographies section, and so we learn there’s a category of books called ‘martial arts biography’.

Ralph Macchio hasn’t gone a week without hearing ‘Wax On, Wax Off’ or ‘Sweep the Leg!’ since 1984. Now that Macchio is playing Daniel LaRusso in the Netflix drama Cobra Kai, he’s ready to revisit the film that defined him and offer fans what they’ve long wanted. Macchio’s book celebrates The Karate Kid’s legacy in movies, pop culture, and his life, and it’s a deep look at a film that inspired him and the globe.

It’s been a bit of a logistics battle, but it looks like Titan Comic’s Horizon Zero Dawn: Peach Momoko Poster Portfolio is on the way to shops.

The £20 compilation of cover art is on track for an October 25 release, and you can try and win a copy here.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a computer roleplaying game from Guerrilla and set in a world dominated by wild machines, the sequel Horizon Forbidden West came out this year, and Netflix is working on a TV series.

Peach Momoko is a fan-favourite and hugely talented comic book artist and writer. Peach is an excellent match for Horizon Zero Dawn, with Aloy, the protagonist, having once described inspiration from bishojo art in her own to “fuse the power of a girl with her inner madness, weaponry, and propaganda.”
