Emma started her career as a graduate trainee at British Airways, working across sales, operations and innovation teams before making her way into Marketing. Learning first hand that brands are built from the inside out led Emma to qualify as an Executive Coach. She then set up and ran a successful Leadership Coaching practice before taking her brand strategy and coaching expertise to two leading boutique consultancies; Serac and Circus. Emma was tempted back to client side to be part of the successful turnaround challenge at Barclays as Global Director of Brand and Marketing before signing up for another big turnaround challenge at NatWest Group (formerly RBS) working across all of the group’s brands, including NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland and Coutts. With the NatWest group moving back to profit snd privatisation, Emma made the move into retail, leading Marketing at Waitrose and the John Lewis Partnership. Again – as the Marketing team’s hard work began to fully pay back – Emma was lured back to financial services, joining the challenger bank, Virgin Money, as CMO towards the end of 2023.

Emma has been recognised as one of the top 100 Marketers in the UK, is a Fellow of the Marketing Academy and an active member of WACL (Women in Advertising and Communications Leadership).
