Formula E appoints Ellie Norman as CMO in ‘reshaped’ role
Under its new marketing leadership Formula E is looking to grow from a “plucky startup” into a global brand, explains the sport’s CEO Jeff Dodds.
Ellie Norman has been appointed CMO at electric car motorsport championship Formula E, in a “reshaped” role.
Norman joins the decade-old business after two years at Manchester United serving as chief communications officer. Before joining the football giant, she was global director of marketing and communications at Formula 1, and has previously held senior marketing roles at Honda and Virgin.
At Formula E, Norman will be responsible for media relations, public affairs, brand development, creative content and fan engagement, as the business restructures its marketing function to help drive growth. She starts the job on 30 September.
