PepsiCo to ‘amplify’ marketing spend in growing categories
The food and drinks giant will be increasing its investment in its categories showing good growth, such as healthy snacks and functional drinks.
PepsiCo is looking to make more “disciplined commercial decisions” as consumer demand for snacks and drinks continues to slide.
It promises, though, to continue to invest in marketing and advertising with a more targeted approach to promotions.
Speaking on a call to investors this afternoon (11 July), chairman and CEO Ramon Laguarta explained how the business is looking to “amplify advertising and marketing initiatives” in its platforms that are growing, such as those providing consumers with healthier, more “positive choices”.
