‘People don’t want to think about dying’: Golden Charter’s first CMO on turning brand building back on
Jill Hood was appointed as funeral plan provider Golden Charter’s CMO last month and is on a mission to “simplify” the sector and engage younger consumers.
A strong marketing department is a necessity in any business, whether it’s selling sports cars or home insurance, which is something funeral care provider Golden Charter is all too aware of.
Last month it appointed Jill Hood as its first CMO. Upon her appointment, the company’s CEO Charlie Norman described the business’s “brand, marketing and product plans” as being “of critical importance” as it seeks to enter its next stage of growth.
Hood has been tasked with more sharply defining Golden Charter as a brand, working out who it needs to go after, and, ultimately, driving its growth.
