AI ‘efficiencies’ boost Klarna profits and marketing frequency
Klarna claims it is reaping the rewards of embracing “practical AI” to make its business – and employees – “more efficient”.
Online financial services brand Klarna has credited practical use of AI for a turnaround in its performance, as the business readies itself for a stock market flotation.
AI has reportedly helped the brand, which offers ‘but now, pay later’ credit for consumers and processing services for merchants, reduce staff headcount and slash its marketing costs.
Reporting its interim results yesterday (27 August), Klarna recognised the “benefits of adopting practical AI”, with its AI assistant now performing the work of 700 employees and reducing the average resolution time for customers from 11 minutes to two.
